Helpful tips for Comparing “Eve” assignment

How to find your group: Under the heading Recent Posts find the highlighted blue link to your individual group #. After clicking on the link read the blog post (i.e. the assignment) and then write your response in the leave a comment box. Then click submit comment. Each member of your group will be able to see your posting and respond accordingly.

If you have any problems you can contact me via the contact link or through the e-mail address provided on your handout.

First off, I must confess that I have thus far in my “blogging” career opted for silence rather than spreading my opinions to the world. I read blogs and even interact with other blogger’s posts, but have yet to contribute within my own delineated space. With the creation of my own website, however, I am compelled (mostly by the creator of the website) to share my individual insights with the “blogging world.” I am hesitant to present my thoughts outside of an academic setting because of a security in academia that resides in its tendency to reject/retain and forget/remember (a comforting ambivalent relationship) contributions made to its discourse; the internet, however, seems much too permanent and unforgiving. Therefore, I shall contribute, but please know it is with great fear and trepidation…

The point of this website is first and foremost a supplement to my academic endeavors. I am in the first year throws of my PhD program at Drew University. I plan to integrate information and technology into my longterm pedagogical goals with the gracious help of my husband (the creator of this website). I hope to bridge the gap between the academe (a highly politicized, locatable, and rich space of knowledge) with outside interests—whether they be personal, student, or peer related.
